Does Duolingo work?

Sometimes companies confuse students/learners with clients, and its not the same. When you apply gamification to an educational tool, you have to know very clearly your goals and use the resources of games and act accordingly. The question is "are you selling or are you teaching?", gamification is the bridge to balance and acchieve both.
